Set on an expansive 2 acre lot with ocean vistas, mature oak and native grasses, the interior vision was to direct the gaze to what’s beyond by keeping to a calm, restrained interior palette. The design team reconfiguring the kitchen, dining and lounge areas to provide conversational groupings for the client’s ever-rotating collection of guests and family.
Throughout the focus was on botanical motifs, with a custom mural by Maria Trimbell growing in density as you transition between spaces in the primary suite. Elsewhere botanical wallcoverings by Lewis and Wood frame the views. Upholstery pieces remain comfortable yet traditional, utilizing mohairs and velvets for a sumptuous feel. Collected furnishings by George Smith. BDDW are peppered amongst vintage acquisitions, surfboards and unadorned opaline lighting.
